What Is My Liquor Store Worth?
A confidential, no-obligation estimate for Wisconsin liquor store owners. A few short questions, about three minutes, and nothing is ever listed publicly.
Two Values, Never Mixed
Your Business and Your Building Are Worth Different Things
Owners are often quoted one lump-sum number that quietly bundles the business, the property and the inventory together. We never do that. The operating business is valued on what it earns. The property, if you own it, is referenced against the public assessment record. Inventory is settled separately at closing.
- Business value: driven by earnings, not just sales
- Property value: public record reference, shown on its own
- Inventory: counted and paid for separately

Why Owners Use This
Getting a Straight Answer Is Harder Than It Should Be
No one will give you a number
Brokers want a listing agreement first. We give you a range before you commit to anything.
You don't want the word getting out
Nothing is listed, no sign goes up, and your staff, customers and suppliers hear nothing from us.
You'd rather not pay a commission
Northland buys directly. There is no listing fee and no broker commission on our side of the table.
How It Works
How Liquor Stores Are Actually Valued
Most independent liquor stores change hands on a multiple of earnings — commonly seller's discretionary earnings, which is your profit plus what the business pays you and any personal costs run through it. Annual sales are used as a sanity check, not as the headline.
The multiple moves with things a buyer can see: whether profit is growing, whether a manager could run the store without you, how many hours you personally work, the size of the store, and where it sits. Our estimate applies the same assumptions our team uses internally, and those assumptions are reviewed and updated by a person, not invented by software.
If you own your building, we reference the public assessment record from your city or county and show it beside the business value. Where the record cannot be matched with confidence, we say so and check it by hand instead of guessing.
This tool produces a preliminary estimate from information you provide. It is not an offer, an appraisal, or a certified valuation, and no figure you enter is verified until our team reviews your records with you. See our confidentiality commitment for how your information is handled.
