Common questions
- Do I have to register to see anything?
- No. Every opportunity has a public summary you can read without an account. Registration and a signed confidentiality agreement are what open the financial statements, the location and the owner's name.
- Why are the listings anonymous?
- Because the seller still has staff, suppliers and customers who do not know the business is changing hands. Anonymity is the condition on which most owners are willing to talk to us at all.
- What kinds of businesses come through?
- Gas stations and fuel-and-convenience sites, convenience stores and liquor stores, mostly in south-central Wisconsin, sometimes with the real estate and sometimes without.
- What if nothing listed suits me?
- Register anyway and tell us your criteria. Most of what we see never reaches a public list, and the buyer network is how we match those deals to people quickly.
- Do you charge buyers a fee?
- Registering and reviewing opportunities costs nothing. Any fee arrangement on a specific transaction is agreed in writing before you commit to anything.
