Buyer Network Terms

Buyers see real information about real businesses, so membership comes with obligations. These terms set out approval, verification and how you may use what you are shown.

In short

  • Membership is by approval and can be withdrawn.
  • We may ask for identity verification and proof of funds before giving access to confidential material.
  • Information about an opportunity may only be used to evaluate that opportunity.
  • No contacting an owner, landlord or employee directly without our involvement.
  • Circumventing us to deal directly with a seller is a breach of these terms.

Approval

Access to anything beyond anonymous teasers requires approval. We may decline or withdraw membership at our discretion, including where verification cannot be completed or the terms have been breached.

Verification

Depending on the opportunity we may require:

  • Identity verification
  • Entity and authority information
  • Proof of funds or a financing commitment
  • A signed confidentiality agreement for the specific opportunity

Verification material is confidential and is not shown to other buyers.

Using what you are shown

Information about an opportunity may be used only to evaluate that opportunity. You must not:

  • Share it outside your approved team and advisers
  • Use it to compete with, solicit from or disadvantage the business
  • Approach the owner, landlord, employees, suppliers or customers directly without our involvement
  • Try to identify an anonymous business by improper means
  • Copy, republish or distribute materials from a data room

No circumvention

If we introduce you to an opportunity, you agree not to bypass us to transact directly with that seller or their representatives in relation to that business.

No guarantee

We do not guarantee deal flow, that any opportunity will proceed, or that the information provided is complete. Buyers are responsible for their own diligence.

Ending membership

You can leave at any time. We may suspend or end membership for breach, misuse, failed verification or confidentiality problems. Confidentiality obligations continue afterwards.
